Today I want to introduce a very useful tool that I personally use for SIP troubleshooting. It can be also a very interesting tool if you want to get familiar with sip packets. If you are a telephony admin or you have run your own IP PBX using Asterisk-based solutions such as FreePBX or Issable or you are using a sip proxy such as OpenSER or Kamailio you should get familiar with this tool. SNGREP is a tool for displaying sip message flow in the terminal Also, you can capture SIP packets and save them in PCAP files that can be used in the SNGREP or some famous tools such as Tcpdump or Wireshark.
